Thug Life Trailer Views In 24 Hours: Kamal Haasan never fails to surprise and entertain his audience. The superstar, who has been ruling the big screen for over 4 decades, is all over the headlines these days as he is coming up with the first release of the year. We are talking about Thug Life which is a gangster action drama which is directed by Mani Ratnam and is co-written by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam.
Interestingly, Thug Life marks Kamal Haasan's reunion with Mani Ratnam after over 35 years. They had last collaborated in 1987 release Nayakan. Apart from Kamal Haasan, Thug Life also features Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan, Sanya Malhotra, Joju George, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Rohit Saraf and Baburaj in key roles. Interestingly, Thug Life revolves around a powerful gangster named Rangaraaya Sakthivel Naicker, who was presumed dead but returns only to find his son Amaran becoming his rival.

Interestingly, Thug Life has been creating a massive buzz in the town ever since it was announced. And while the makers had recently unveiled the trailer of Thug Life and it witnessed a rave response from the audience. Thug Life trailer has not just left everyone in absolute awe but also garnered 30 million views (all languages combined) in just 24 hours of release.
Thug Life Beats GOAT & Thunivu
Interestingly, with views of 30 million in 24 hours, Thug Life has managed to beat Thalapathy Vijay's GOAT (29.28 million views), Beat (29.08 million views), Varisu (23.05 million views) and Ajith's Thunivu (Rs 24.95 million views). In fact, Thug Life has recorded the second highest most viewed trailer of a Tamil film after Leo (31.91 million views).
Meanwhile in an interview with Hollywood Reporter India, Kamal Haasan had revealed that Thug Life is based on his script Amar Hai. "I finished a script and it was called Amar Hai, which was a pun. A man who is believed to be dead is not dead. His name is Amar, and that's the problem. Mani took it as an idea and went on to enhance it," the actor added.
