Thug Life Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 2: Kamal Haasan is here with his first film of the year, and excitement is in the air. Titled as Thug Life, the gangster action drama has been eagerly awaited by fans. Directed by Mani Ratnam, Thug Life reunites the acclaimed director with the legendary actor after a gap of 38 years. Their last collaboration was for the 1987 film Nayakan, making Thug Life their second project together adding to fans' anticipation.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Thug Life, which made an overseas collection of Rs 22cr overseas, witnessed a major drop in collections. Reportedly, it made an overseas collection of Rs 3.7 crores which took the total overseas collection to Rs 25.7 crores.

On the other hand, the overall worldwide collection of the movie stands at Rs 52 crores post second day of release and it will be worth a watch if Thug Life can pick up pace during the opening weekend.

Meanwhile, during an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, Kamal Haasan opened up on why it took him almost 4 decades to reunite with Mani Ratnam and stated, "It is that college reunion, they go about minding their business, suddenly they realize you've not met your old friend who could enhance your business, even why didn't I think of it kind of thing. They want to do that, but work keeps them away, and then one day, all of them plan and come together. That's what happened in this, it's as simple as that".
