Tourist Family Box Office Collection: The Tamil comedy drama Tourist Family, directed by debutant Abishan Jeevinth, has crossed the ₹50 crore milestone at the global box office in just 11 days since its theatrical release. Featuring M. Sasikumar and Simran in lead roles, the film continues to attract audiences both in India and overseas.

Released on May 1, 2025, after a premiere on April 29, Tourist Family has performed steadily at the box office, amassing a total worldwide gross of approximately ₹51.20 crore as of its 11th day. According to data from box office tracker What The Fuss, the film has earned ₹40.85 crore from domestic markets, while its overseas collections have added another ₹10.35 crore (approximately USD 1.22 million).

Set against the backdrop of post-crisis Sri Lanka, the film narrates the journey of a Tamil family that crosses into India in search of safety and stability. As they settle into a modest neighbourhood in Chennai under false identities, their past resurfaces amid growing suspicion and police scrutiny. The narrative explores themes of displacement, identity, and resilience through the family's struggle to adapt and survive in unfamiliar surroundings.

Produced jointly by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment, the film is the fifth production from the banner, initially announced in September 2024 under the working title Production No. 5. Principal photography was completed in a 35-day single schedule that concluded by early January 2025.

The ensemble cast includes Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, Yogi Babu, M. S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi. The music for the film is composed by Sean Roldan, with cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan and editing by Barath Vikraman.
