Tourist Family OTT Release: The Tamil film Tourist Family, featuring Sasikumar and Simran in lead roles, will begin streaming on JioHotstar starting June 2, 2025. The film was released in theaters on May 1, 2025, and is now making the transition to the digital platform for wider accessibility.

Tourist Family marks the directorial debut of Abishan Jeevinth and is jointly backed by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment. The film's story centers on a Tamil family from Sri Lanka who, following an economic crisis in their homeland, move to India in search of better prospects. They settle in Chennai while attempting to keep their background hidden from the locals.

Alongside Sasikumar and Simran, the film also stars Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, Yogi Babu, M. S. Bhaskar, and Ramesh Thilak, among others. The movie delves into themes of displacement, identity, and community, focusing on how the family adjusts to their new surroundings amid tensions involving local law enforcement investigating an incident nearby.

Filming began in September 2024, with principal photography mainly carried out in Chennai over 35 days, wrapping up by early January 2025. The film's technical team includes music composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, and editor Barath Vikraman.

The production credits feature Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan as producers, with Vijay M. P. as the creative producer and Harish Durairaj as executive producer. The film also involves professionals in various departments, such as art direction by Raj Kamal, sound design by Sound Vibe, and costume design by Navadevi Rajkumar.
