The comedy-drama, which opened in cinemas on May 1, 2025, has reportedly collected around ₹55 crore worldwide, according to industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai. The film had its premiere on April 29, prior to its wide release across Tamil Nadu and select overseas markets.

The story revolves around a Sri Lankan Tamil family who, following the country's economic turmoil, migrates to Chennai in search of stability. Assuming false identities to avoid detection, the family attempts to start afresh, navigating challenges in a new environment while a parallel investigation begins to close in on them. The film explores themes of displacement, identity, and community through a subdued, grounded narrative.

The film directed by Abishan Jeevinth and produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment also features Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, and Bagavathi Perumal, among others. It was completed, reportedly, in a brisk single shooting schedule of 35 days, wrapping up in early January this year. Sean Roldan composed the music, while cinematography was handled by Aravind Viswanathan and editing by Barath Vikraman.

"Still going strong on weekdays," he noted in a recent social media post, adding that the global gross is poised to cross ₹60 crore soon.
