Vidaamuyarchi Now Streaming on Netflix: The Tamil action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, is now available for streaming on Netflix starting March 3, 2025. Initially released in theaters on February 6, the film is inspired by the 1997 American movie Breakdown and is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner.

Starring Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian, Vidaamuyarchi is available on Netflix in Tamil, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Vidaamuyarchi Storyline

Arjun, a professional from Chennai, reconnects with Kayal, a native of Tbilisi, during a vacation, and the two eventually get engaged. However, their marriage falters following a miscarriage and Kayal's affair. On their way to her parents' home to finalize their divorce, they cross paths with a dangerous group, setting off a gripping chain of events involving kidnapping, betrayal, and high-stakes suspense. As Arjun battles ruthless criminals to save Kayal, their journey takes an unexpected turn, bringing them back together.

Vidaamuyarchi Cast and Crew

Vidaamuyarchi boasts a stellar ensemble cast, headlined by Ajith Kumar as Arjun M., Trisha Krishnan as Kayal Arjun (voiced by Krithika Nelson), and Arjun Sarja as Rakshith. Regina Cassandra delivers a notable performance as Deepika "Deeps" Rakshith (voiced by Andrea Jeremiah), alongside Arav as Michael. The film also features Nikhil Sajith, Dasarathi, and Ganesh Saravanan as members of Rakshith's gang. Ravi Raghavendra takes on the role of a psychiatrist, while Ramya Subramanian plays Anu. Additional supporting roles include Jeeva Ravi as Kayal's father, Kazim Abdullayev as Jabbar, and Sveta Hakimova as Omar's mother, among others.

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaamuyarchi features music by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Om Prakash ISC and editing by NB Srikanth. Milan served as the art director, Supreme Sundar choreographed the action sequences, and Kalyan handled the dance choreography. Costume design was led by Anu Vardhan, with lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan, Arivu, Amogh Balaji, and Mohan Raja. The film was produced by Subaskaran under Lyca Productions, with G.K.M. Tamil Kumaran overseeing production. Subramanian Narayanan served as the executive producer, while J Girinathan and K Jeyaseelan handled production execution.
