Vidaamuyarchi To Debut A Bit Early On Netflix: Ajith's 62nd film, an action-thriller directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaamuyarchi, hit the screens worldwide on February 6 amid high expectations. The movie which marks the sixth collaboration of Trisha and Ajith, fell flat at the box office immediately after the theatrical debut. The movie's plot is an adaptation of the Hollywood film and critics as well as fans complained that there is nothing remarkable about anything.

Vidaamuyarchi is the official remake of a Hollywood film called Breakdown by Jonathan Mostow, released in 1997.The movie was also released in Telugu on the same day under the title 'Pattudala' but almost went unnoticed at the box office across the two Telugu states with the worldwide collection settling for less than Rs 150 Crore against a budget of about Rs 350 Crore.

Vidaamuyarchi Synopsis

The protagonist enters a dangerous desert looking for his missing ex-wife. In his search, he faces battles for survival and a web of challenges posed by a gangster and the dark underworld.

Vidaamuyarchi OTT Release On Feb 28?

Going by the norms, the Kollywood films have an OTT agreement for about four weeks from the theatrical release. But for Ajith's film, the OTT giant reportedly wants to advance the digital streaming release and will now hit the streaming platform on February 28. The official announcement regarding the date is, awaited, however.
