What's Good And What's Bad In Vidaamuyarchi: The highly anticipated Tamil action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role, made its global debut on February 6, 2025. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner, the film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav. As audiences flocked to theaters, film industry tracker Christopher Kanagaraj shared his thoughts on the film, highlighting both its strengths and shortcomings. Here's a look at what's good and what's bad in Vidaamuyarchi, based on his observations.
What's Good in Vidaamuyarchi?
According to film industry tracker Christopher Kanagaraj's X (formerly Twitter) post, Ajith Kumar's screen presence is a definite positive, along with the stylish execution of the film. The Azerbaijan locations are visually stunning, and the car action block, along with its editing, stands out. Anirudh's background music works well in certain parts, and the "Sawadeeka" song is a highlight.
What's Bad in Vidaamuyarchi?
However, in another post, Christopher Kanagaraj pointed out several drawbacks. The romantic portions between Ajith Kumar and Trisha are dull and fail to leave an impact. While the film has style, it lacks substance, with a weak story, no emotional depth, and no major twists to keep the audience engaged. He described the narration as flat and dragging, making the film an overall disappointment despite its technical strengths.
