Manoj Bharathiraja Death Reason: Tamil actor-director Manoj Bharathiraja passed away on Tuesday (March 25) at his home in Chennai. He was 48. The talented Tollywood star was the son of veteran filmmaker and actor Bharathiraja. While his family members have not issued any official statement about his death, reports suggested that the Taj Mahal actor recently underwent heart surgery.

Manoj K Bharathi is survived by his wife Nandana, and two daughters- Arthika and Mathivadani. The news about his demise has sent shockwaves across the film industry.
Manoj tied the knot with his longtime friend and actress Nandana in an intimate ceremony on 19 November 2006. The couple worked together in the film Saadhuriyan. They got married at Ashirwad Marriage Hall at Kozhikode, Kerala. Their wedding was followed by a grand reception at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Hall in Chennai on December 1, 2006.
Manoj started his career with the Tamil flick 'Taj Mahal, which was directed by his father. He featured in several films as the leading hero, impressing the audience with his impressive performances in 'Eeranilam' and 'Varushamellam Vasantham. On the professional front, Manoj was last seen in Prime Video's Snakes and Ladders.

Khusbhu Sundar and director Venkat Prabhu were among the first few celebrities who reacted to the news of his untimely demise.
