Blast Box Office Collection Day 12: Arjun, Abhirami And Preity Mukhundhan's Film Nears ₹37 Crore India Net
Blast Box Office Collection: The Tamil martial arts thriller Blast continued its theatrical run into its second week, adding to its overall box office tally despite a predictable dip in collections on Monday. Headlined by Arjun, Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan, the film has now crossed the ₹55 crore mark globally after 12 days in cinemas.

Directed by debutant Subash K. Raj and backed by AGS Entertainment, Blast was released on May 28, 2026. Since its release, the film has recorded higher collections during weekends than on weekdays, a trend that continued in its second week.
According to estimates published by box office tracking website Sacnilk, Blast earned approximately ₹1.17 crore net in India on its 12th day, which fell on the second Monday of its run. The collection came from around 2,148 shows across the country.
With the latest figures included, the film's India net collection has reached ₹36.91 crore. Its India gross total stands at ₹42.45 crore. Overseas markets have contributed an estimated ₹13 crore in gross collections so far, taking the film's worldwide gross earnings to approximately ₹55.45 crore.
The film's strongest day at the domestic box office remains its first Sunday, when it collected ₹6 crore net. During its opening week, Blast accumulated ₹25.78 crore net in India. In its second weekend, collections showed signs of recovery, with the film earning ₹2.11 crore on Friday, ₹3.50 crore on Saturday and ₹4.35 crore on Sunday before dropping to ₹1.17 crore on Monday.
The Tamil version continued to account for the majority of the film's revenue on Day 12. It generated approximately ₹0.96 crore net from 1,516 shows. The Telugu version added around ₹0.21 crore net from 632 shows. Occupancy was reported at roughly 19 percent for both language versions on Monday.
Blast Story, Cast and Crew
Blast revolves around Rajaram, a karate practitioner who lives with his wife Neelaveni and daughter Nila. Their ordinary life takes an unexpected turn when they find themselves confronting a powerful corporate syndicate led by Varun Dayalan and his associate Abraham. As tensions escalate, the family relies on their martial arts skills to defend themselves and protect what they value.
Apart from Arjun, Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan, the film also features John Kokken, Vivek Prasanna, Arjun Chidambaram and Pawan Krishnaa in supporting roles. The technical crew includes composer Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Arun Radhakrishnan, editor Pradeep E. Ragav and production designer Veeramani Ganesan.
As of June 9, Blast has entered its 13th day in theatres. Industry watchers will be monitoring its weekday trend in the coming days to see how the film performs before the next round of releases arrives at the box office.
