Blast Box Office Collection Day 13: The Tamil martial arts thriller Blast added another day to its theatrical run on Tuesday, June 9, continuing its performance at the box office during its second week in cinemas. Starring Arjun, Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan in key roles, the film has now crossed the ₹57 crore mark worldwide, according to figures reported by box office tracking platform Sacnilk.

Written and directed by debut filmmaker Subash K. Raj, Blast was released on May 28 under the AGS Entertainment banner. The action-driven thriller revolves around a karate practitioner and his family, whose lives take a dramatic turn when they find themselves facing a powerful corporate-backed criminal syndicate.

As per Sacnilk's estimates, the film collected approximately ₹1.04 crore net in India on its 13th day in theatres. The earnings came from 1,491 shows across the country, reflecting the typical weekday slowdown witnessed after the second weekend.

With the latest figures included, Blast has accumulated an estimated India net collection of ₹38.23 crore. Its India gross collection currently stands at around ₹43.96 crore. Overseas, the film has earned approximately ₹13.40 crore in gross receipts so far. Combining domestic and international earnings, the film's worldwide gross collection has reached ₹57.36 crore after 13 days.

Box Office Trend In Second Week

The film recorded gradual growth after its opening day. Following a Day 1 collection of ₹1.25 crore, Blast witnessed stronger collections over its first weekend, earning ₹4.55 crore on Saturday and ₹6 crore on Sunday. By the end of its first week, the film had accumulated ₹25.78 crore net in India.

The second weekend brought another boost. The film collected ₹2.11 crore on its second Friday before rising to ₹3.50 crore on Saturday and ₹4.35 crore on Sunday. However, collections moderated once weekdays resumed, with ₹1.45 crore on Monday and ₹1.04 crore on Tuesday.

The latest figures suggest that while the pace has slowed compared to the weekend, the film continues to add to its overall total during its second week.

About The Film

Blast follows Rajaram, a karate practitioner living a quiet life with his wife Neelaveni and daughter Nila. All three are trained in martial arts. Their lives change when they become entangled in a conflict involving a corporate group led by Varun Dayalan and an assassin named Abraham. As the threat intensifies, the family is forced to rely on their martial arts skills to defend themselves and protect what matters to them.

Apart from leading actors Arjun, Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan, the film features John Kokken, Vivek Prasanna, Arjun Chidambaram and Pawan Krishnaa in pivotal roles. The project is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh and Kalpathi S. Suresh under AGS Entertainment. Ravi Basrur has composed the music, while Arun Radhakrishnan handled cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav served as editor.

With Day 14 collections currently underway on June 10, attention will now shift to how the film performs through the remainder of the week before heading into its third weekend.
