Blast Box Office Collection Day 3: Arjun, Preity Mukhundhan And Abhirami's Film Crosses ₹12 Crore Worldwide
Blast Box Office Collection: The Tamil action thriller Blast, starring Arjun, Preity Mukhundhan and Abhirami, continued its theatrical run with improved collections over its opening weekend. Directed by Subash K. Raj and produced by AGS Entertainment, the film hit cinemas on May 28, 2026. As Day 4 of its run is currently underway on May 31, the latest available figures indicate that the film witnessed a notable jump in earnings on its third day.

According to trade data reported by box office tracking website Sacnilk, Blast earned an estimated ₹3.90 crore net in India on its third day. The collection marks a significant increase compared to its opening day and second day numbers, helping the film add to its domestic box office total.
The movie had opened with an India net collection of ₹1.25 crore on Day 1. It followed that up with ₹2.15 crore on Day 2 before registering its highest single-day total so far on Saturday (May 30). With these numbers, the film's cumulative India net collection has reached approximately ₹7.30 crore after three days of release.
The increase in collections was accompanied by a rise in theatre count and occupancy. On Day 3, Blast was screened across 2,294 shows, compared to 1,728 shows on its opening day. Overall occupancy also improved steadily, rising from 21.5 percent on Day 1 to 39.6 percent on Day 3.
Tamil Nadu and other Tamil-speaking markets continued to contribute the bulk of the film's earnings. The Tamil version generated around ₹3.25 crore net on Saturday, recording an occupancy of nearly 49 percent across 1,523 shows. Meanwhile, the Telugu version contributed approximately ₹0.65 crore net from 771 shows, with occupancy reported at around 21 percent.
Beyond the domestic market, Blast also added to its overseas earnings. The film reportedly collected ₹2 crore gross internationally on Day 3, taking its overseas tally to ₹4.05 crore gross. Combined with its India gross collections of ₹8.42 crore, the film's worldwide gross total has climbed to approximately ₹12.47 crore after three days.

Blast centres on a middle-class family with martial arts expertise whose lives take a dangerous turn after an encounter with a violent criminal gang. The story follows their struggle for survival as they are drawn into a high-stakes conflict marked by action, suspense, and emotional moments.
Apart from Arjun, Preity Mukhundhan, and Abhirami, the film features a supporting cast that includes John Kokken, Vivek Prasanna, Arjun Chidambaram, and Pawan Krishnaa in key roles. The project has music composed by Ravi Basrur, cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. It is backed by producers Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Suresh under the AGS Entertainment banner.
With Day 4 collections currently in progress, industry observers will be watching to see whether Blast can maintain its momentum and build on its opening weekend performance in the days ahead.
