Created as a seven-episode thriller, the series explores corruption within the education system and the consequences of large-scale exam fraud. The project is written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker A. Sarkunam and is backed by Wallwatcher Films.

The series also features Abbas and Vasundhara Kashyap in important roles. Filmmaker duo Pushkar and Gayathri are the creative producers of the project, bringing the story to the OTT space under the Prime Original banner.

The plot follows a determined young woman with a hidden past who enters the dangerous world of the Regional Public Service Exam (RPSE) scam. Her goal is to expose a powerful paper-leak network that threatens the future of countless students. As she digs deeper, she uncovers a larger chain of corruption rooted inside the education system, forcing her to confront both personal risks and institutional power.

Rather than focusing only on the crime itself, the series also looks at ambition, injustice, and the moral choices people make when pushed into extreme situations. At its center is a woman trying to challenge a system designed to silence resistance, while dealing with the emotional cost of standing up against it.

The seven-episode series has been developed as a Tamil original and will stream globally with dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The makers recently revealed the release date along with a poster on social media, teasing the central question of the story: when an exam decides someone's future, who controls the exam itself?

With education-related scams often making headlines, the theme of Exam connects with a wider social concern, using fiction to reflect issues linked to fairness, access, and abuse of power in competitive systems.
