Gatta Kusthi 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Remember the 2022 release Gatta Kusthi starring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi? The sports comedy drama had won millions of hearts back then and enjoyed a decent run at the box office. Now, three years after the success of Gatta Kusthi, the makers are back with Gatta Kusthi 2 and we can't keep calm about it. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, Gatta Kushti 2 once again bring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi together and the movie has undoubtedly managed to create a lot of buzz in the town.

Co-produced by Vishnu Vishal, Gatta Kushti 2 also features Yogi Babu, Karunas, Munishkanth, and Kaali Venkat in key roles. To note, Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya are seen reprising their role of Veera and Keerthi respectively. The movie sees Veera embracing the role of househusband along with his job in railways and is seen supporting Keerthi's wrestling career. However, their life takes a major turn after a jealous coach creates a rift between the couple and pose as a threat to Keerthi's career. Released amid massive buzz, Gatta Kusthi 2 opened to mixed reviews and saw a good start at the box office.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Gatta Kusthi 2 has made a collection of Rs 2.55cr on day 1 (first Friday)

Interestingly, while Gatta Kusthi 2 has been facing comparison with its prequel, with an opening day collection of Rs 2.55cr, this Vishnu Vishal starrer has managed to earn 200% more than Gatta Kusthi. For the uninitiated, Gatta Kusthi had made a collection of Rs 85 lakhs on its day of release.

Meanwhile, talking about reuniting with Chellaa Ayyavu and Aishwarya in Gatta Kusthi 2, Vishnu Vishal told New Indian Express, "One frustration I have is that directors have not stood by me. But Chella has stood with me for 11 years. Though we have had a lot of arguments, he has always been a great support. I struggle with comedy acting, especially expressing humour through body language. But with Gatta Kusthi 2, I was able to effortlessly act out those scenes, with which I was satisfied. Aishwarya is Chella's favourite. Part one was written for her. But I also told her that since part one was focused on Keerthi, part two was focused on my character, and part three will balance both of our characters equally. But she is always interested in making a good film".
