Actor Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohael Khaturiya have legally ended their four-year marriage. The Bandra Family Court in Mumbai approved their divorce on mutual consent, with both sides confirming they had already been living separately and no financial claims would be raised.

The couple have stayed apart since 2 July 2024, after disagreements reportedly increased within the marriage. According to case documents, arguments began over small daily issues making cohabitation difficult.

The plea stated that frequent disputes created a stressful environment at home, and both felt continuing together was not practical. Parents, relatives and close friends tried to mediate and urged them to continue the marriage. Despite several attempts at reconciliation, the efforts did not resolve their issues.

During the hearings, advocate Adnan Shaikh represented Motwani and outlined the couple’s position before the family court. Shaikh informed the court that Motwani and Khaturiya lived together for a brief period after marriage. The plea further emphasised that Hansika and Sohael gradually realised there were significant differences in their temperaments, opinions, and lifestyles, which led to frequent disagreements.

To note, Hansika Motwani approached the court seeking a mutual consent divorce and chose not to claim streedhan or alimony. Although relations between the two had reportedly become tense earlier, they later discussed the matter and decided on a negotiated mutual separation. Both then filed affidavits, confirming they had no demands from each other.

Motwani and Khaturiya married in a traditional Hindu ceremony on 4 December 2022 at Mandota Fort in Jaipur. The marriage did not produce any children. Motwani first gained recognition as a child actor in the television show Shaka Laka Boom Boom and the film Koi... Mil Gaya, and later built a successful career in South cinema.

The court’s order formally ends the marriage between Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya, which had already functioned as separate lives since mid-2024. With no financial disputes or custody issues involved, both parties now move ahead independently, following an agreement reached after earlier disagreements within the relationship.
