Idhayam Murali is a Tamil coming-of-age romantic drama that marks the directorial debut of Aakash Baskaran, who has also co-written and produced the film under the Dawn Pictures banner.
The film features Atharvaa in the title role, with Preity Mukhundhan and Kayadu Lohar playing key characters. The supporting cast includes Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar, Pragya Nagra, Angeline, Anju Kurian, Yashashree and Jonita. Actor Fahadh Faasil also makes a cameo appearance in the film. Another notable aspect of the project is Thaman S's return to acting after more than two decades.
