Headlined by Thalapathy Vijay (Joseph Vijay), Jana Nayagan boasts a star-studded ensemble including names like Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj and Pooja Hegde among others.
After facing several roadblocks and delays, the advance booking finally kickstarted in India on Sunday (July 19) with a limited rollout. However, Thalapathy Vijay fans are not leaving any stones unturned to make it feel like a festival.
With still 3 days to go for the grand theatrical release, Jana Nayagan has already sold over 2.67 lakh tickets in Tamil Nadu so far, as per Sacnilk data. Overall, the film has reportedly sold over 27.1K tickets across India till now, with Tamil Nadu emerging as its biggest market.

From facing censor board delay to being leaked online, Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan had faced major setbacks ahead of its release. And now, despite all those roadblocks, the Tamil entertainer is gearing up for a bumper box office opening. According to the latest update by Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan has already earned Rs 6.89 Cr Gross (with block seats) in pre-sales today (July 20) till 2:05 PM. The advance booking is expected to witness a massive surge today and over the final three days leading up to its July 23 release.
Despite the limited rollout, Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan is set to surpass the gross pre-sales of Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Reportedly, Ustaad Bhagat Singh had grossed around Rs 1.49 cr in advance booking ahead of its release.
