Jana Nayagan Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 4: Thalapathy Vijay's massive fan following across the world has every reason to be on cloud nine with happy tears in their eyes. After all, the Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister's last movie had released on July 23. We are talking about Jana Nayagan which is a political action drama. Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan also features Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in the lead role alongside Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain, and Priyamani.

Needless to say, Jana Nayagan has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. After all, it is not just Thalapathy Vijay's last appearance on the big screen, but it is also the first time that a film starring a sitting CM has hit the theatres in 50 years after the release of M G Ramachandran's Meenava Nanban in 1977. On the other hand, Jana Nayagan has entered the prestigious Rs 200cr club at the worldwide box office during the opening weekend. Yes! This Thalapathy Vijay's swansong has made a collection of Rs 217.48cr worldwide in 4 days of release.

Meanwhile, talking about the box office expectations regarding Jana Nayagan, director H Vinoth told NDTV, "At any point in cinema history if you see only 10% of films will succeed. The success ratio in any industry is only 10 to 20%. Cinema is no different. The intention of any creator / filmmaker/ director is pure and they try sincerely to make a good film. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Today, we see films being re-released after 10 years or 20 years and being celebrated. For instance, a number of Mani Ratnam sir's films didn't do well in theatres, like Nayakan. So, we shouldn't look at the box office as the benchmark I think".
