Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan is said to be a partial remake of the 2023 Telugu movie Bhagavanth Kesari and tells the story of a former police officer who raises the daughter of his late friend and helps her in fighting her childhood trauma and joining the Indian Army. However, things take an unexpected turn when he has to stand up against corrupt forces threatening democracy of the country.

While Vijay plays the lead role, the movie also features Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Prakash Raj in important roles. On the other hand, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Priyamani are also a part of Jana Nayagan.
