'You've Sent Keneeshaa Away': Teary Eyed Jayam Ravi Announces Acting Break; Makes SHOCKING Claim About Ex-Wife
Tamil actor Ravi Mohan has said that work will pause on new films until the divorce from estranged spouse Aarti Ravi is done. At a press meet in Chennai on Saturday, Ravi appeared emotional and close to tears as he spoke. The comments follow recent rumours that singer and spiritual healer girlfriend Keneeshaa Francis left Chennai and ended the relationship.

During the event, Ravi said the constant scrutiny and comments had become unbearable and deeply affected personal life. Ravi described the period as filled with what was called “unnecessary humiliation” and added that there was a feeling of being “kept like a slave” for years. Ravi insisted that earlier patience should not be mistaken for weakness any longer.

Ravi told the media that public anger from a quiet person should not be underestimated, quoting the proverb “saadhu miranda kaadu kolladhu”. Ravi added that some people were trying to “test” patience through repeated online attacks. Ravi then announced, “Until my divorce comes through, I will not act. Whenever I get my divorce, my life will be normal again…whenever this cyberbullying stops, I will return.”
The actor stressed that this decision followed more than twenty years in cinema, where most films had performed well. Ravi said that commitment to work had always been strong, even during personal struggles. Ravi mentioned an incident where wrists were slit before a shoot, yet the next day’s work was still attended, which was described as evidence of dedication to the profession.
Ravi Mohan On Cyberbullying
Addressing events involving Keneeshaa, Ravi told the gathering, “You have sent Keneeshaa away...I wish her a good life.” Ravi did not identify individuals but repeatedly referred to hostile online users as “cyberbullying pricks” and alleged there was proof against all such accounts. Ravi argued that targeted attacks had influenced how people viewed private relationships.
Ravi also alleged interference with contact with the two sons, Aarav and Ayaan. According to Ravi, there were restrictions on meeting them, and the children were even being sent to school with bodyguards. Ravi said marriage had been entered into against the wishes of parents, and described the current situation as the price being paid for that decision.
Ravi further criticised an unnamed “three-letter-named” female actor. Ravi claimed this “idle actor” had “no business preaching feminism” after allegedly breaking families. Ravi questioned, “After wrecking families, what business does she have talking about feminism in public forums?” The comment hinted at tensions within sections of the film industry without directly revealing identities.
Hours before the press meet, Aarti shared a strong note on Instagram that appeared to respond to the unfolding drama. It read, “You never wake a sleeping lion. God help if she's a mamma lion. My dignified silence should never be mistaken for weakness or taken undue advantage of. If needed, to protect my children and my dignity, I will step out of my comfort zone and face the world with the truth. Because truth always prevails."
Actor and politician Khushbu Sundar also posted a cryptic message around the same time, which many linked to the situation, though no names were mentioned. With sharp statements from both sides and public focus on cyberbullying claims, Ravi’s announcement about pausing films until the divorce is final leaves the future course of personal and professional life open.
