Who Is K Rajan?
K Rajan worked in Tamil cinema for decades as a producer, writer, director and actor. Rajan entered film production with Brammacharigal in 1983. Over the years, Rajan built a reputation for strong opinions on the industry and spoke openly on issues related to cinema. The producer backed several films that gained attention in the Tamil market. Rajan's production credits include Doubles, Aval Paavam and Ninaikatha Naaliai, which are still remembered by audiences. These projects helped establish Rajan as a steady presence in the production space. Rajan moved to direction in 1991 with Namma Ooru Maariamma, featuring Nizhalgal Ravi and Sarathkumar. Rajan later directed Unarchigal in 2005. As a writer, Rajan penned the stories for Thangamana Thangachi and Unarchigal, further widening creative involvement in Tamil cinema.
The producer also took on acting roles in several films. Rajan appeared in Michael Raj, Sonthakkaran, Veettoda Maapillai, Paambu Saatai, Ajith Kumar's Thunivu and Selvaraghavan's Bakasuran. He was a very respectful person and a man who never hesitated to call a spade a spade. This is very upsetting. May his soul rest in peace."
