Kaalidas 2 Now On OTT: The Tamil crime thriller Kaalidas 2 has officially begun its digital streaming run following its theatrical release last month. Released in cinemas on April 3, 2026, the film serves as a standalone sequel to the 2019 investigative thriller Kaalidas and follows Inspector Kaalidas as he gets involved in another complex investigation.

Directed by Sri Senthil, the film features Bharath in the lead role alongside Ajay Karthi, Sangita Madhavan Nair, Abarnathi and Bhavani Sre. The supporting cast includes actors such as Ananth Nag, T. M. Karthik, Singam Jayavel, Prakash Raj, Kishore, Raja Ravindra and Suresh Chandra Menon.

Kaalidas 2 Plot, Cast, Crew And OTT Streaming Details

The film follows Inspector Kaalidas as he investigates the disappearance of a four-year-old girl from a gated residential complex during New Year celebrations. As the inquiry progresses, several residents of the community come under scrutiny, including the apartment association secretary and a young lawyer linked to the case. DSP Vaishnavi, who joins the investigation, often finds herself at odds with Kaalidas as the case becomes increasingly complicated with a series of unexpected incidents.

The film was written and directed by Sri Senthil, with screenplay contributions from Aravindan Anand. The project was produced by "Five Star" K. Senthil and Dr. N. Yogeshwaran under the Sky Pictures banner. Music for the thriller has been composed by Sam C. S., while Suresh Bala handled cinematography and Bhuvan Srinivasan worked as the editor.

The technical crew also includes G. Durairaj as the production designer, Tapas Nayak in charge of audiography, and Om Prakash handling the stunt sequences. Costume design for the film was done by Dorothy Jai, while Mohan Raj worked on the lyrics. The film's visual promotions were handled by The Edit Table, with VFX by Hocus Pocus and DI work completed by Ranga at Prasad. Think Music has acquired the audio rights for the film.

After completing its theatrical run, Kaalidas 2 has now made its way to multiple streaming services. From May 12 onwards, the Tamil version of the film is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Sun NXT, Aha, Simply South, Tentkotta, ShortFlix and Lionsgate Play.

The film joins the list of recent Tamil releases that opted for a multi-platform digital premiere following their theatrical run.
