Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 10: Suriya's Fantasy Action Drama Nears ₹150 Cr India Net
Karuppu Box Office Collection: Karuppu continued its theatrical run with steady collections during its second weekend, helping the film move closer to the ₹150 crore India net mark. Starring Suriya in the lead role, the Tamil fantasy action drama completed ten days in theatres on Sunday, May 24, while Day 11 collections are currently underway on Monday, May 25.

Directed by RJ Balaji, the film was released worldwide on May 15. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the movie also stars Trisha Krishnan and RJ Balaji in key roles alongside Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy. The Telugu dubbed version of the film was released under the title Veerabhadrudu.
According to box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Karuppu collected an estimated ₹14.45 crore India net on Day 10 across 5,091 shows. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹148.55 crore. The India gross collection currently stands at approximately ₹172.03 crore after ten days in cinemas.
The film also continued to register collections in overseas territories during the second weekend. Reports indicate that the movie earned around ₹2 crore overseas on Sunday, taking the international gross total to ₹64.75 crore. Combined with domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection has now touched ₹236.78 crore.
Karuppu Holds Steady In Second Weekend As Weekday Test Begins
The Tamil version remained the major contributor to the film's business on Day 10. It reportedly earned ₹12.70 crore net with occupancy figures around 56 percent across 3,676 shows. Meanwhile, the Telugu version added ₹1.75 crore with occupancy of nearly 26 percent from 1,415 shows.
The film had opened with ₹15.50 crore net on its first Friday before witnessing growth over the opening weekend. It collected ₹24.15 crore on Day 2 and ₹28.35 crore on Day 3. After crossing ₹113.85 crore during its first week, the film maintained momentum into the second weekend with collections of ₹7.80 crore on Day 8 and ₹12.45 crore on Day 9 before the Day 10 jump.
The story follows a guardian deity who disguises himself as a lawyer to confront corruption within the judicial system while trying to help a young girl awaiting a liver transplant.
The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar. The screenplay was co-written by RJ Balaji along with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.
With the second weekend now completed, trade observers will be watching the film's weekday performance closely to assess how it sustains at the box office during the coming week.
