Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 11: Suriya Film Nears ₹155 Crore India Net Amid Strong Second Week Run
Karuppu Box Office Collection: The Tamil fantasy action drama Karuppu continued its theatrical run on a steady note after completing 11 days in cinemas. Headlined by Suriya, the film continued to perform steadily during its second week and is now approaching the ₹250 crore mark globally.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu collected ₹5.90 crore India net on Day 11, according to trade tracking website Sacnilk. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹154.75 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹179.15 crore.
The overseas market has also contributed to the film's overall earnings. Reports indicate that the film collected ₹1 crore overseas on its second Monday, taking the total international gross to ₹68 crore. Combined with domestic numbers, the worldwide gross collection has now touched ₹247.15 crore within 11 days of release.
The Tamil version remained the major contributor to the Day 11 total, earning ₹4.90 crore with an occupancy of 30 percent across 3,067 shows. The Telugu dubbed version, released under the title Veerabhadrudu, added ₹1 crore from 1,390 shows with an occupancy of 19 percent.
Karuppu opened with ₹15.50 crore on its first day before witnessing significant growth over its first weekend. The film collected ₹24.15 crore on Saturday and ₹28.35 crore on Sunday during its opening weekend. After crossing ₹113.85 crore in its first week, the film continued to hold steady in its second weekend with collections of ₹7.80 crore on Friday, ₹12.45 crore on Saturday and ₹14.75 crore on Sunday before seeing the expected weekday drop on Monday. Day 12 collections are currently underway on May 26.
Karuppu Story, Cast and Crew
The film follows Binu and her father, who travel to Chennai for her liver transplant treatment while carrying gold meant to fund the surgery. After the valuables are stolen and the legal process becomes entangled in corruption, the family turns to a powerful lawyer for help, only to find themselves further exploited. Their struggle eventually leads to the arrival of Vettai Karuppu, a guardian deity who disguises himself as a lawyer and takes on the corrupt legal system.
Apart from Suriya, the film also stars RJ Balaji, Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy in key roles.
