Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 12: Suriya Film Nears ₹160 Cr India Net, Crosses ₹253 Cr Worldwide
Karuppu Box Office Collection: The theatrical run of Karuppu continued on a stable note during its second week as the Suriya-starrer added another solid day at the box office. Directed by RJ Balaji, the Tamil fantasy action drama has remained one of the major releases in cinemas since its worldwide debut on May 15, 2026.

According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, Karuppu earned an estimated ₹4.45 crore net in India on Day 12 across 4,470 shows. With the latest figures, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹159.20 crore. Its India gross collection currently stands at ₹184.26 crore.
The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film's business. On its twelfth day, the film reportedly collected ₹1 crore overseas, pushing its international gross total to ₹69 crore. Combined with domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection of Karuppu has now reached ₹253.26 crore.
The film recorded its strongest collections during the opening weekend. After opening with ₹15.50 crore on its first Friday, collections increased sharply over Saturday and Sunday with ₹24.15 crore and ₹28.35 crore respectively. The first week concluded with an India net total of ₹113.85 crore.
In its second weekend, the film again witnessed improved footfalls. It collected ₹7.80 crore on the second Friday before jumping to ₹12.45 crore on Saturday and ₹14.75 crore on Sunday. As expected, weekday collections dipped during the second week, with Monday bringing in ₹5.90 crore followed by ₹4.45 crore on Tuesday.
The Tamil version continued to contribute the majority share on Day 12. The film earned ₹3.65 crore net in Tamil with an occupancy rate of 25 percent across 3,073 shows. The Telugu dubbed version, released under the title Veerabhadrudu, added ₹0.80 crore with 18 percent occupancy from 1,397 shows.
Karuppu Story, Cast And Crew
Apart from Suriya, the film stars Trisha Krishnan and RJ Balaji in key roles alongside Indrans, Anagha Maya Ravi, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy.
The story follows a father and daughter who travel to Chennai for a liver transplant procedure. After the money intended for the surgery is stolen and legal complications arise, they find themselves caught in a corrupt system. The narrative later introduces Vettai Karuppu, a guardian deity who enters the legal world disguised as a lawyer in an attempt to confront corruption and injustice.

With Day 13 collections currently underway on May 27, trade watchers are now monitoring whether Karuppu can sustain its pace during the weekdays before heading into another weekend run.
