Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 13: Suriya Film Nears ₹260 Crore Worldwide Amid Steady Second Week Run
Karuppu Box Office Collection: Karuppu continued its theatrical run with stable collections on Day 13 as the Suriya-starrer maintained its presence across Tamil and Telugu markets during its second week in cinemas. Directed by RJ Balaji, the fantasy action drama released worldwide on May 15 and has remained among the notable performers at the box office this month.

According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, Karuppu collected an estimated ₹4 crore net in India on its 13th day in theatres. The film was screened across 4,558 shows on Wednesday. With the latest figures, the movie's total India net collection has reached ₹163.20 crore, while its India gross collection stands at ₹188.85 crore.
The overseas market also added to the film's overall earnings. Reports suggest that the film earned around ₹1 crore overseas on Day 13, taking its total international gross collection to ₹70 crore. As a result, the worldwide gross collection of Karuppu has now touched approximately ₹258.85 crore by the end of its second Wednesday.
The Tamil version continued to contribute the majority share of the film's domestic collections. On Day 13, the Tamil version collected around ₹3.30 crore net from 3,141 shows with an occupancy rate of nearly 23 percent. The Telugu dubbed version, released under the title Veerabhadrudu, earned ₹0.70 crore net from 1,417 shows with occupancy close to 17 percent.
Karuppu had opened strongly during its first weekend, collecting ₹15.50 crore on Day 1 before witnessing a significant jump over Saturday and Sunday. The film crossed the ₹100 crore India net mark within its first week and has since continued its theatrical run with comparatively steady weekday collections in the second week as well.
Karuppu Story and Cast
The film revolves around Binu and her father, who travel to Chennai seeking treatment for a liver transplant procedure. Carrying gold meant to finance the surgery, the family soon finds itself trapped in a series of legal and corrupt systems after the valuables go missing. Their struggle eventually leads them to Vettai Karuppu, a mysterious guardian figure who enters the legal system disguised as a lawyer in an attempt to confront corruption and abuse of power.
Apart from Suriya, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan, RJ Balaji, Indrans, Anagha Maya Ravi, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy in important roles. The project has been produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
With Day 14 collections currently underway on May 28, industry trackers will now be observing whether the film can sustain its momentum heading into another weekend at the box office.
