Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 14: Suriya-Starrer Approaches ₹170 Crore India Net

Karuppu Box Office Collection: Suriya-starrer Karuppu continued its theatrical run with steady collections in its second week, adding to its overall box office tally both in India and overseas markets. The Tamil fantasy action drama, directed by RJ Balaji, earned an estimated ₹4.95 crore net in India on its 14th day, according to figures reported by box office tracking platform Sacnilk.

Released worldwide on May 15, 2026, the film has completed two weeks in theatres and remains among the notable performers at the box office. With Day 14 collections included, Karuppu has amassed an estimated ₹168.15 crore net and ₹194.55 crore gross in India.

The film has also maintained a presence in international markets. Sacnilk reported that Karuppu collected approximately ₹1.25 crore overseas on its 14th day, taking its overseas gross total to ₹72.50 crore. Combined with its domestic earnings, the film's worldwide gross collection has now reached around ₹267.05 crore. Since Day 15 collections are currently underway on May 29, the coming days will provide a clearer picture of the film's box office trajectory as it moves further into its theatrical run.

On Day 14, the film was screened across 3,881 shows and registered an overall occupancy of 25.4 percent. The Tamil version remained the major contributor, generating an estimated ₹4.15 crore net from 2,620 shows with an occupancy of 28 percent. The Telugu-dubbed version, released under the title Veerabhadrudu, contributed approximately ₹0.80 crore net from 1,261 shows and recorded an occupancy of 20 percent.

According to the available figures, Karuppu collected an estimated ₹113.85 crore net during its first week. The second week added around ₹54.30 crore net, taking the film's cumulative India net total to ₹168.15 crore after 14 days.

Karuppu Story, Cast and Crew

The story follows a young girl named Binu and her father, who travel to Chennai seeking medical treatment for a liver transplant. Carrying gold intended to finance the surgery, they find themselves in crisis when the valuables are stolen and their efforts to recover them become entangled in corruption and legal complications. Their search for justice eventually leads them to Vettai Karuppu, a guardian deity who assumes the identity of a lawyer and becomes involved in the battle against systemic abuse of power within the judicial system.

The film features Suriya, Trisha Krishnan and RJ Balaji in key roles, alongside Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi and Supreeth Reddy. RJ Balaji directed the project and also co-wrote the screenplay with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.
