Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 2: Suriya Film Crosses ₹66 Cr Worldwide, Records Big Jump On Saturday
Karuppu Box Office Collection: The Tamil action drama Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, continued its theatrical run with improved collections on its second day at the box office. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film released worldwide on May 15 and witnessed a noticeable rise in occupancy on Saturday after opening to steady numbers on Day 1.

According to trade tracking platform Sacnilk, Karuppu earned an estimated ₹23.40 crore net in India on Day 2 across 6,288 shows. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹38.90 crore within two days of release. The India gross collection currently stands at ₹45.04 crore.
The film also maintained a strong performance in overseas territories. According to Sacnilk, Karuppu collected around ₹10 crore gross internationally on Saturday, taking the overseas total to ₹21 crore so far. As a result, the worldwide gross collection has touched approximately ₹66.04 crore by the end of Day 2.
The second-day figures showed a clear jump from the opening day collections. On its first Friday, the film had collected ₹15.50 crore net in India from 4,891 shows, registering an overall occupancy of 46.9 percent. On Saturday, occupancy increased to 56.8 percent, indicating improved audience turnout during the weekend.
Tamil Nadu remained the film's strongest market. Out of the Day 2 India net total, the Tamil version contributed ₹19.75 crore with an occupancy of around 64 percent across 4,600 shows. The Telugu dubbed version added ₹3.65 crore net from 1,688 shows and recorded an occupancy of 37 percent.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Karuppu features an ensemble cast including RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy in supporting roles.
The screenplay for the film was co-written by RJ Balaji along with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar.
With Sunday collections expected to play a key role in the film's opening weekend total, trade observers will now be watching whether Karuppu can maintain its momentum and continue attracting audiences in the coming days.
