Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 5: Suriya Film Nears ₹100 Crore India Net, Crosses ₹160 Crore Worldwide
Karuppu Box Office Collection: Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, continued its theatrical run with stable collections on its fifth day in cinemas. The Tamil action drama, which released worldwide on May 15, 2026, has now crossed the ₹160 crore mark globally within five days of release, according to trade tracking figures reported by Sacnilk.

Directed by RJ Balaji, the film collected an estimated ₹12.75 crore India net on Day 5 (Tuesday). With this, the total India net collection has reached ₹95.05 crore. The film's India gross now stands at ₹110.04 crore.
The overseas market also continued to contribute to the film's overall performance. Karuppu reportedly earned around ₹4 crore overseas on Tuesday, taking its total international gross to ₹51 crore so far. Combined with domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection has climbed to approximately ₹161.04 crore in five days.
After posting strong weekend numbers, the film witnessed the expected decline on weekdays but maintained a notable presence across Tamil Nadu and Telugu-speaking regions. The film had opened with ₹15.50 crore on its first Friday before jumping to ₹24.15 crore on Saturday and ₹28.35 crore on Sunday. Collections dropped to ₹14.30 crore on Monday before settling at ₹12.75 crore on Tuesday.
Karuppu Language-wise Collection (Day 5)
On Day 5, the Tamil version remained the major contributor to the film's business, earning ₹10.55 crore with an occupancy rate of 42 percent across 4,362 shows. The Telugu version added ₹2.20 crore from 1,731 shows, recording an occupancy of 24 percent.
Karuppu features an ensemble cast that includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy in key roles. The screenplay was co-written by RJ Balaji along with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.
Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film has music composed by Sai Abhyankkar. Cinematography has been handled by G. K. Vishnu, while editing is by R. Kalaivanan.
With the film nearing the ₹100 crore India net, trade observers will now be watching how Karuppu performs during the remainder of the week and whether it can maintain momentum heading into its second weekend.
