Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 5 (Tamil): Suriya’s Film Beats Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Time
Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 5 (Tamil): Suriya's latest release Karuppu has raced ahead at the box office, becoming the actor's highest-grossing film within just five days of release. The fantasy action drama, which is Suriya's 45th outing as a lead, has drawn strong footfalls and interest, even as early trends now hint at a slight slowdown. The film is directed by RJ Balaji and presents Suriya in a double role, blending action with fantasy elements. Karuppu also stars Trisha Krishnan, Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy. The project had generated buzz from the start for its scale, concept and Suriya's return to a mass-friendly genre.

One of the biggest talking points around Karuppu is Suriya and Trisha Krishnan sharing screen space again after almost twenty years. Their reunion has been highlighted by fans and industry watchers as a key draw. Early reviews were largely positive, which helped the film secure a strong opening weekend worldwide. Karuppu had reached cinemas after considerable chaos around its release, including uncertainty that kept discussion alive on social media. That backdrop, combined with the film's positioning as a fantasy action drama, helped build anticipation. By the time it arrived in theatres, Karuppu was already counted among the most awaited releases of the year. Even though the film is now slowing down slightly before finishing its first week, trade reports still note Karuppu as a major success for Suriya. The film's commercial run, its status as Suriya's 45th film and the reunion with Trisha Krishnan have ensured Karuppu remains a key talking point in current box office discussions.
