Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 7: Suriya-RJ Balaji Film Nears ₹190 Cr Worldwide After First Week
Karuppu Box Office Collection: Tamil fantasy action drama Karuppu, starring Suriya in the lead role, continued its theatrical run with steady collections on its seventh day in cinemas. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film completed its first week at the box office on May 21 and is now moving into its second weekend.

Released worldwide on May 15, 2026, Karuppu has been performing across Tamil and Telugu markets, with the Telugu dubbed version releasing under the title Veerabhadrudu. According to trade estimates published by box office tracking portal Sacnilk, the film collected ₹8.30 crore India net on Day 7 across 5,140 shows.
With this, the film's total India net collection has reportedly reached ₹114.05 crore by the end of its first week. The India gross collection currently stands at approximately ₹132.05 crore.
The film has also maintained a presence in overseas territories during its opening week. Reports suggest that Karuppu earned around ₹3 crore gross internationally on its seventh day, taking its total overseas gross collection to ₹57 crore. Combined with domestic earnings, the film's worldwide gross collection has reached an estimated ₹189.05 crore so far.
The Tamil version continued to contribute the majority of the film's daily earnings. On Day 7, the Tamil edition reportedly collected ₹7 crore net with an occupancy of around 35 percent across 3,599 shows. Meanwhile, the Telugu version added ₹1.30 crore net from 1,541 shows, registering an occupancy of roughly 20 percent.
Trade figures indicate that the film witnessed its highest collections during the opening weekend before gradually slowing during weekdays. After opening with ₹15.50 crore on its first Friday, Karuppu collected ₹24.15 crore on Saturday and ₹28.35 crore on Sunday. The collections later dropped to ₹14.30 crore on Monday, followed by ₹12.75 crore on Tuesday and ₹10.70 crore on Wednesday.
Karuppu Enters Second Weekend, Nears ₹115 Cr India Net
The film revolves around a guardian deity who takes the form of a lawyer to confront corruption within the judicial system while helping a young girl awaiting a liver transplant. Alongside Suriya, the cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy.

As Karuppu enters Day 8 on May 22, attention will now shift to its second weekend performance and whether the film can maintain momentum at the domestic and international box office in the coming days.
