The same report states that the film's total gross box office figure for the first day stands at Rs 17.93cr.

Given the ongoing trend, Karuppu is expected to see hike in numbers today (day 2/ first Saturday). The movie is likely to mint Rs 17-18cr in Tamil version on day 1 and Rs 3-3.5cr for the Telugu version while the total day 2 collection is likely to be over Rs 20cr on the second day of release. While there are speculations about Karuppu touching Rs 50cr in 2 days of release, as per the trend the movie will be inching close to Rs 40cr today.
