Karuppu Box Office Day 4 (Evening Trend): Tamil film Karuppu has emerged as one of the most talked-about releases of the year. Directed by RJ Balaji, the action drama stars Suriya and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles, marking their reunion after nearly two decades. The film also features Yogi Babu, Indrans, Swasika and Natty Subramaniam in supporting roles. Even before release, the movie created strong buzz because of its powerful trailer, mass-action visuals and mythological elements. Fans were also excited to see Suriya in a commercial entertainer after a long time. Though the film faced financial hurdles and release delays, audience interest remained high across Tamil Nadu.

The reception of Karuppu has been mixed to positive. While many viewers praised the performances, action scenes and emotional moments, some felt the second half could have been stronger. Still, the film has managed to attract large crowds and strong fan celebrations in theatres. To note, Suriya and Trisha have collaborated after over 20 years and it has been one of the key elements of the movie. And after witnessing a strong roar during the opening weekend, Karuppu did witness a dip in numbers on the first Monday

Karuppu Evening Occupancy Day 4

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Karuppu, which recorded an occupancy of 27% during morning shows on day 4, saw a hike footfalls and registered a footfall of 48.23% during the evening shows for the Tamil version while it was 23% for Telugu shows

To note, Karuppu witnessed a significant dip in number and earned Rs 7.36cr until 8pm including Rs 6.44cr in Tamil and Rs 92 lakhs Telugu and this took the overall collection to Rs 75.36cr. It will be interesting to see if Karuppu will earn in double digit and touch Rs 80cr mark today.

Meanwhile, post Karuppu's release, Surya shared an emotional video and thanked fans for their support. He said, "Dear eyes, my dears, my deities, my deities. First of all, thank you so much for this love. I couldn't release the film on the 14th. I don't know what to do. It's a very difficult situation. But all the tweets, voice messages, phone calls you sent me gave me hope. That night, I decided to release the film. You were the one who changed everything.
