Karuppu Day 1 Advance Booking: The advance booking trend for Karuppu, the upcoming Tamil action drama starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, has started drawing attention ahead of the film's theatrical release on May 14, 2026. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film has been recording steady pre-sales activity across Tamil Nadu and other parts of India since bookings opened.

According to the latest update shared by box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty on X on the morning of May 12, the film's Tamil Nadu opening day advance sales crossed the Rs 1.90 crore mark within around 36 hours of bookings going live. The post also stated that the film's all-India real-time advance booking gross stood at approximately Rs 2.34 crore as of 7:49 AM on Tuesday.
The tracker, however, noted that the number of shows opened so far remains comparatively limited. As per the update, around 1,409 shows had been listed at the time of posting, with suggestions that the count may need to increase further to support stronger final pre-sales before release day. The post added that expanding screen count and show availability in Tamil Nadu and other regions could play a role in the film's overall opening-day performance.
Cast, Crew And Release Buzz Around Karuppu
Karuppu marks a major collaboration between Suriya and RJ Balaji, with the latter directing the project from a screenplay co-written with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan, and Karan Aravind Kumar. The film has been produced by Dream Warrior Pictures under the banner of producers S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu.
Apart from Suriya and Trisha, the cast includes RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi in supporting roles.
The technical crew features music composer Sai Abhyankkar, cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, and editor R. Kalaivanan. The stunt choreography has been handled by Anbariv and Vikram Mor, while Arun Venjaramoodu has overseen production design.
The makers have been actively promoting the film over the past few weeks through songs, posters, and teaser material. With just two days remaining for release, industry observers are expected to closely watch whether additional show allocations and late booking momentum contribute to a stronger advance booking total for the film's opening day.
