Karuppu Deleted Scenes Update: A new update regarding Karuppu has surfaced online as the Suriya-starrer continues its theatrical run on Day 12. According to the latest buzz, a deleted sequence from the film, reportedly running for around 3.5 minutes, is expected to be released soon. The scene is said to be connected to the "Family Court" portion that did not make it to the final theatrical version.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu hit theatres worldwide on May 15, 2026. The Tamil fantasy action drama features Suriya in the lead role alongside Trisha Krishnan and RJ Balaji. The film was released in Telugu under the title Veerabhadrudu.

Karuppu follows the story of Binu and her father, who travel from Kerala to Chennai seeking treatment for her liver transplant. Carrying gold meant to fund the surgery, they become victims of theft, triggering a legal struggle complicated by corruption and abuse of power. Their journey eventually leads them to Vettai Karuppu, a guardian deity who takes the form of a lawyer and enters the legal system to challenge those misusing authority.

The film blends courtroom drama, fantasy and social themes while exploring questions surrounding justice and institutional corruption. Apart from the lead cast, the film also features performances by Indrans, Anagha Maya Ravi, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the project has music composed by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by G. K. Vishnu and editing by R. Kalaivanan. The screenplay was co-written by RJ Balaji along with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.
