Karuppu OTT Release Date Official Now: Suriya-starrer Karuppu is set to make its digital debut following its theatrical release last month. The Tamil fantasy-action drama, directed by RJ Balaji, arrived in cinemas worldwide on May 15, 2026, and has since been available in theatres across multiple regions.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film features Suriya in the lead role alongside Trisha Krishnan, RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natarajan Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi and Supreeth Reddy. The movie was released simultaneously in Tamil markets, while its Telugu-dubbed version, titled Veerabhadrudu, was also launched for audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The story centres on Binu and her father Sukumaran, who travel from Kerala to Chennai carrying gold intended to finance a life-saving liver transplant. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when the valuables go missing, drawing them into a legal battle marked by corruption, delays and powerful interests. As their options begin to narrow, a lawyer named Saravanan enters the picture and takes up their cause, leading to a wider conflict within the judicial system.

RJ Balaji directed the film from a screenplay developed with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. The technical team includes cinematographer G.K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar.

Karuppu OTT Release Date And Platform

While Karuppu continues its theatrical journey, attention has now shifted to its streaming release. The makers have confirmed that the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 12. The announcement was shared by the platform through its social media channels with the message: "god mode ON 🔥 #KaruppuOnPrime, June 12."

The film will be available to stream in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. In addition, the Telugu version, Veerabhadrudu, will also begin streaming on the same platform on June 12, giving viewers across multiple language markets access to the film from the same date.

With its OTT release now officially locked in, audiences who missed the theatrical run or prefer to watch from home will soon be able to stream the film on Prime Video. At the same time, Karuppu remains available in theatres, offering viewers both big-screen and digital viewing options in the coming days.
