Karuppu OTT Release: Suriya's latest Tamil film Karuppu continues its run in theatres nearly a month after its release, with audiences still turning up for screenings across several centres. Directed by RJ Balaji, the fantasy-action drama arrived on the big screen on May 15, 2026, and features Trisha Krishnan as the female lead alongside a supporting cast that includes Indrans, Natarajan Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Karuppu follows Binu and her father Sukumaran, who travel from Kerala to Chennai carrying gold meant to fund her liver transplant. Their plans are disrupted when the valuables are stolen during the journey, leading them into a legal system affected by corruption and delays. As they try to recover the lost property, a mysterious lawyer named Saravanan steps into the case and takes on powerful figures within the judicial system. The screenplay was developed by RJ Balaji along with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.

The film's technical crew includes cinematographer G.K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar. Apart from its Tamil release, the film was also released in Telugu under the title Veerabhadrudu.
