Karuppu Release Time Update: Karuppu continued to remain in the spotlight on Thursday, May 14, after uncertainty surrounding the film's theatrical rollout led to discussions across social media platforms. The Tamil action drama, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, was originally scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on Thursday.

Amid the ongoing release-related confusion, director and actor RJ Balaji shared an emotional video message addressing audiences and fans waiting for updates regarding the film's screenings. In the video, RJ Balaji appeared visibly emotional while apologising for the unexpected developments surrounding the release.
He said he had not anticipated the situation and expressed hope that the issues affecting the film's rollout would be resolved soon. RJ Balaji also mentioned that the team is expecting the film to begin screenings by around 6 PM on Thursday evening.
Online Buzz Around Karuppu Delay Continues
The film's release has faced disruptions since the early hours of Thursday. Earlier, producer S. R. Prabhu confirmed that the planned 9 AM shows of Karuppu had been cancelled due to "unavoidable reasons." Several theatres and cinema chains later shared updates regarding delays and cancellations connected to the scheduled screenings.
The release situation also became a major talking point online, with tracking handles and trade pages discussing possible reasons behind the delay. However, the makers have not publicly disclosed detailed information regarding the exact cause of the disruption.
Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Karuppu has been directed by RJ Balaji from a screenplay co-written with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan, and Karan Aravind Kumar.
Alongside Suriya and Trisha, the film's cast includes RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy, Yogi Babu, and Anagha Maya Ravi in key roles.
The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan, and music composer Sai Abhyankkar. The action sequences for the film have been choreographed by Vikram Mor.
