Karuppu Tamil Nadu Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction: Suriya-RJ Balaji Film Set For Another Big Day
Karuppu Tamil Nadu Box Office Collection Prediction: Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, continued its strong theatrical run on Tuesday, May 19, with early trade estimates indicating another steady day at the Tamil Nadu box office. The Tamil action drama, directed by RJ Balaji, had already posted strong collections during its first four days and is now moving through its first weekday cycle after a strong opening weekend.

According to a post shared by box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty on X at 3:30 PM on May 19, Karuppu was witnessing "excellent Tuesday" trends worldwide. The tracker further estimated that the film could add another ₹8 crore to ₹9 crore gross from Tamil Nadu alone by the end of Day 5. However, the figures remain early estimates, with final numbers expected later after the completion of the day's theatrical run.
In another update posted later in the evening, the tracker stated that the film had grossed ₹63.21 crore in Tamil Nadu during its first four days. The distributor share was reported to be around ₹31.10 crore against theatrical rights valued at approximately ₹40 crore. The post also claimed that the film had completed nearly 78 percent recovery within four days and could potentially achieve breakeven during its first week in theatres.
Meanwhile, live data from box office tracking platform Sacnilk showed that Karuppu had collected around ₹5.56 crore net in India by Tuesday evening, with collections still developing. The film was running across 4,039 shows nationwide at the time of reporting.
With the latest live estimates, the film's total India net collection has reached approximately ₹87.86 crore, while the India gross collection stands at ₹101.86 crore so far. Final Day 5 figures are expected to rise further once late-night shows are accounted for.
Karuppu Language-wise Breakdown
The Tamil version continued to dominate the film's overall business. As per live data, the Tamil edition contributed ₹4.61 crore net on Tuesday with an occupancy of 33 percent across 2,825 shows. The Telugu dubbed version added ₹0.95 crore net from 1,214 shows and recorded an occupancy of 22 percent.
Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Karuppu also features Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi and Supreeth Reddy in supporting roles. The screenplay was co-written by RJ Balaji along with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.
Music for the film has been composed by Sai Abhyankkar, while cinematography is handled by G. K. Vishnu and editing by R. Kalaivanan.
As Day 5 collections continue to develop, industry watchers will be tracking whether Karuppu can maintain its pace through the weekdays ahead of its second weekend in theatres.
