Karuppu Worldwide Release Confirmed: Karuppu is finally set to reach theatres worldwide on Friday, May 15, after a day marked by uncertainty, cancelled screenings, and release-related disruptions. The announcement was made by Dream Warrior Pictures through a social media post shared in the early hours of Friday morning.

In its statement posted on X at around 5:15 AM, the production banner addressed audiences who had been waiting for updates regarding the release of the Suriya and Trisha Krishnan starrer. The team apologised for the delays and thanked viewers for continuing to support the project despite the uncertainty surrounding its theatrical rollout.
The note described the long production and release journey of Karuppu as emotionally difficult for the team, while also acknowledging the patience shown by fans and moviegoers during the delays. The production house stated that the film would now release worldwide and expressed gratitude to those who had continued following the project throughout its troubled rollout.
The confirmation comes after the film faced major disruptions on Thursday, May 14, when several scheduled screenings across locations were cancelled. Earlier, producer S. R. Prabhu had announced that the planned 9 AM shows would not take place due to "unavoidable reasons." As the day progressed, uncertainty continued regarding later screenings, with several theatres and online tracking pages sharing updates about delays and cancellations.
Director and actor RJ Balaji also reacted to the latest development through a post on X on Friday morning. In his brief message, RJ Balaji confirmed that Karuppu would finally be arriving in theatres from Friday and thanked audiences for their support during the difficult release situation.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu is a Tamil action drama produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. Apart from Suriya and Trisha, the film features RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy, Yogi Babu, and Anagha Maya Ravi in important roles.
The screenplay has been co-written by RJ Balaji along with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan, and Karan Aravind Kumar. The technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan, and music composer Sai Abhyankkar.
Following delays and uncertainty, audiences are now awaiting the film's theatrical rollout across regions on Friday.
