Kenatha Kanom OTT Release: After its theatrical release earlier this year, the Tamil comedy-drama Kenatha Kanom is preparing for its digital premiere. Headlined by Yogi Babu, the film combines rural life, social concerns and mystery elements, with the story unfolding against the backdrop of a village facing a severe water crisis.

Released in cinemas on March 13, 2026, Kenatha Kanom was written and directed by Suresh Sangaiah. The film was the final directorial project of Suresh Sangaiah before his death. Produced under the banners of RB Talkies and Box Office Studio, the project features Yogi Babu in the lead role alongside Lovelyn Chandrasekhar and Raichal Rabecca. The supporting cast includes Ramakrishnan, George Mariyan, Kavitha Bharathi and Rajendiran.

The story is set in a drought-affected village in Ramanathapuram district, where residents struggle with an acute shortage of water. As repeated efforts to solve the crisis fail, villagers decide to dig a well near the house of local temple priest Manivasagar. What initially appears to be a practical solution soon takes an unexpected turn when an unusual discovery is made at the site.

The finding attracts the attention of the Archaeological Department, which steps in to investigate the area. As officials take control of the location, tensions begin to rise among the villagers, who are already frustrated by their prolonged hardships. The film uses this premise to blend comedy and drama while exploring how an entire community responds to an unforeseen situation.

Behind the camera, the film's technical team includes cinematographer V. Thiyagarajan and editor R. Ramar. The music has been composed by Nivas K. Prasanna, while the screenplay and direction were handled by Suresh Sangaiah.
