Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) Box Office Collection: The Tamil film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan and starring Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah, and Krithi Shetty, has completed its first week in theatres with mixed weekday trends. The science fiction romantic comedy, which hit screens on April 10, 2026, has recorded a strong opening weekend, followed by a noticeable dip in collections during the weekdays.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹2.44 crore net in India on Day 7 (Thursday), taking its total India net earnings to ₹34.04 crore. The India gross collection stands at ₹39.32 crore so far. Overseas, the film has added ₹10.60 crore, pushing its worldwide gross to ₹49.92 crore at the end of its first week.

The film opened with ₹7.05 crore on its first day, followed by ₹7.95 crore on Saturday and ₹7.50 crore on Sunday. However, like many releases, it witnessed a dip during the weekdays. Collections dropped to ₹3 crore on Monday, before showing a slight recovery on Tuesday with ₹4.15 crore. The numbers declined again on Wednesday with ₹1.95 crore, before a marginal increase on Thursday.

In terms of occupancy, the film recorded its highest footfall over the opening weekend, with Day 2 registering 35.4% occupancy. By Day 7, occupancy had reduced to 16.4%, indicating a typical weekday slowdown after the initial surge.

Interestingly, the Day 7 collections were evenly split between Tamil and Telugu versions. Both language versions contributed ₹1.22 crore each, with Tamil recording 16% occupancy across 2,127 shows and Telugu showing slightly higher occupancy at 17% across 1,241 shows.

Produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, the film features a mix of genres, combining romance with science fiction elements. The narrative follows a young man who uses a futuristic mobile device to travel to the year 2035 in search of his lost love, only to encounter an unusual company that treats relationships as insurable entities.

The film's technical crew includes music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Ravi Varman and Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. The supporting cast includes Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, and Sunil Reddy.

With the film entering its second weekend (Day 8, Friday), its box office performance over the next few days will be crucial in determining whether it can sustain momentum and cross key milestones in the coming week.
