Sarathkumar, and Manju Warrier, is gearing up for its digital debut nearly a month after its theatrical release. Directed by Manu Anand, the film arrived in cinemas on April 17, 2026, and opened to mixed reactions from audiences and critics.

Mr X follows a rogue agent who disobeys orders after India decides to eliminate one of its captured spies when a missing nuclear device resurfaces in enemy hands. As he begins investigating the mission, he uncovers a larger conspiracy that could trigger a global conflict.

Inspired by espionage operations, honey-trap tactics, and nuclear threats, the film is presented as a fast-paced spy action thriller. Apart from the lead cast, the movie also features Anagha, Raiza Wilson, Athulya Ravi, Jayaprakash, and Kaali Venkat in supporting roles.

Mr X was produced by S. Lakshman Kumar and Vineet Jain under the banners Prince Pictures and Maverik Movies Pvt Ltd. The technical crew includes cinematographer Arul Vincent, editor Prasanna GK, and music composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas. Stunt choreography for the project was handled by Stunt Silva.

After its theatrical run, Mr X is now set to make its OTT debut. According to the latest announcement shared by the streaming platform on social media, Mr X will begin streaming from midnight on May 14. The movie will be available on JioHotstar in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

The platform's promotional update stated that the film would start streaming "from tonight 12 am," confirming its digital premiere schedule for subscribers. The digital release will make the film available to viewers who missed its theatrical run.

With its OTT arrival now confirmed, Mr X joins the growing list of Tamil theatrical releases making a relatively quick transition to streaming platforms in 2026.
