Leader Now Streaming On OTT: Tamil actor-producer Saravanan's latest film Leader has made its way to the digital space after completing its theatrical run. The action drama, directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, was released in cinemas on April 3, 2026, coinciding with the Good Friday holiday period. The film marked Saravanan's second outing as both lead actor and producer following his acting debut with Legend.

Leader blends elements of action, drama, and suspense while centering on a man whose ordinary life is disrupted by a chain of dangerous events. Alongside Saravanan, the film features an ensemble cast including Shaam, Andrea Jeremiah, Santhosh Prathap, Payal Rajput, Lal, Amritha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh and Iyal in key roles.

The story follows Sakthivel, a widower living in Thoothukudi with his daughter Irene. Working as a car mechanic, he leads a relatively quiet life until he becomes entangled in a dangerous investigation involving harbour smuggling operations and illegal explosives. As an honest police officer attempts to expose the network behind the crimes, Sakthivel finds himself caught between powerful criminals, corrupt officials and secrets connected to his own past.

As the narrative unfolds, what begins as a local crime issue develops into a larger story involving betrayal, revenge and long-buried truths. The film follows Sakthivel as he confronts challenges that threaten both his family and the life he has built for himself.

R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, known for directing commercial entertainers, wrote and directed the film. The project was backed by Legend Saravana Stores Productions, with Saravanan serving as producer. The technical team included Ghibran Vaibodha as music composer, Venkatesh S as cinematographer and Pradeep E. Ragav as editor.

The soundtrack and background score were composed by Ghibran Vaibodha, while action sequences were choreographed by Mahesh Mathew. The film's supporting cast also includes Prabaharan, Aishwarya, Mariam George, Nisha and Adithya Kathir.

For viewers who missed the theatrical release, Leader began streaming on Prime Video on May 29, 2026. The film is available in multiple South Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, allowing audiences across different regions to watch it from home.
