TVK Vijay Campaign Tomorrow: Dharmapuri Event Gets Approval With 13 Conditions, Timings Fixed, Says Report
TVK Vijay Campaign Tomorrow: Actor-turned-politician Vijay is set to campaign in Tamil Nadu's Dharmapuri district on April 14, as part of the ongoing Legislative Assembly election activities. The visit is aimed at canvassing support for candidates fielded by his party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), across five constituencies in the district: Dharmapuri, Pappireddipatti, Pennagaram, Palacode, and Harur.

According to a report by Puthiya Thalaimurai, the campaign has received official clearance from the district administration, albeit with a detailed set of restrictions. The event is scheduled to take place at a private location along the Dharmapuri-Pennagaram road, for which party representatives had earlier sought permission.
As per the report, District Election Officer R. Gayathri has approved the gathering, but only under 13 specific conditions. One of the key stipulations relates to timing. While the party had initially requested a longer window, from 12 noon until 10 PM, the authorities have permitted the campaign to be conducted strictly between 11 AM and 5 PM.
TVK Vijay Campaign: Approval Comes With Expense, Safety And Campaign Restrictions
The conditions outlined by the administration also touch upon logistical and regulatory aspects. All materials used for the event, including banners, loudspeakers, party flags, and barricades, will be accounted for as part of the official election expenditure. This aligns with standard election monitoring practices aimed at ensuring transparency in campaign spending.
Safety measures have also been emphasised. Given that a significant turnout is expected, organisers have been instructed to arrange for a fire engine at the venue by paying the prescribed charges. Additionally, with multiple overhead power lines in the vicinity, the use of drones has been flagged as a potential risk, and operators have been advised to exercise caution.
The administration has further made it clear that the campaign must conclude within the approved time frame and remain confined to the designated location. Content that could provoke caste or religious tensions has been explicitly barred. Another notable restriction is the prohibition of election campaigning through SMS, reflecting broader guidelines on campaign communication.
The Dharmapuri event marks one of Vijay's key campaign appearances in the region as part of the party's campaign activities. With administrative conditions now in place, the focus will be on how the event unfolds within the regulatory framework set by election authorities.
