Vaa Vaathiyaar Box Office Collection: The Tamil action-comedy Vaa Vaathiyaar has begun its theatrical run with modest numbers at the domestic box office. Headlined by Karthi, the film was released in cinemas on January 14, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festive period, after facing multiple delays linked to legal and financial hurdles. As of January 16, the film has completed two days in theaters, with its third day currently underway.

According to figures reported by box office tracking portal Sacnilk, Vaa Vaathiyaar has collected an estimated ₹3.9 crore India net in its first two days. The film opened in theaters on Wednesday with a collection of approximately ₹1.65 crore. On Thursday, early estimates suggest the film added around ₹2.25 crore, marking a growth of over 36 percent compared to its opening day. With this, the total India net collection stands at ₹3.9 crore after Day 2.

Early indications suggest that the film has benefited from positive audience response, with the festive Pongal period contributing to improved footfalls on its second day. As a midweek holiday release, the extended weekend is expected to play a role in shaping its box office performance in the days ahead.
