Vijay And Sangeetha Divorce Case: The divorce case involving actor-politician Vijay and his wife Sangeetha came up for hearing at the Chengalpattu Court, where the matter saw fresh procedural developments.

According to reports, Sangeetha had filed a petition seeking divorce, following which the case was taken up for hearing today. The court has now reportedly adjourned the proceedings to June 15 and directed both Vijay and Sangeetha to be present in person on the next date.

During the hearing, Vijay's legal representative informed the court that the actor is currently engaged in Tamil Nadu Assembly election campaign activities and may not be able to appear physically. It was submitted that he could attend the proceedings through video conferencing. However, reports indicate that the court did not accept this request and has instructed that Vijay must be present before the court on the next hearing date.

The case has drawn attention amid Vijay's political entry, with reports also referring to allegations raised in the divorce petition.

Meanwhile, discussions around a possible settlement between the two have surfaced in media reports. According to reports, Sangeetha is said to have sought a financial settlement of ₹250 crore. It is also reported that provisions for their son and daughter have been sought as part of the settlement.

On the other hand, separate reports suggest that Vijay has reportedly agreed to a settlement of ₹35 crore for Sangeetha. These reports also claim that he has expressed willingness to take responsibility for their children. However, there has been no official confirmation from either party regarding these figures or the terms of any settlement.

As of now, the case remains at a preliminary stage, with the next hearing expected to provide further clarity on the legal proceedings. Neither Vijay nor Sangeetha has made a public statement regarding the matter.
