Youth Box Office Collection Day 7: Ken Karunaas' Film Maintains Steady Run As Week 2 Begins

Youth Box Office Collection: The romantic comedy-drama Youth, written, directed, and headlined by Ken Karunaas, has completed its first week in theatres and entered Day 8 (Thursday), March 26. The film, which released on March 19, has shown a steady run at the box office after gaining traction over its opening weekend.

According to data from box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Youth collected ₹2.09 crore (India net) on Day 7 (Wednesday), with 1,762 shows and an occupancy of around 24%. The midweek performance indicates a stabilising trend following the usual drop after the weekend.

After seven days, the film's total India net collection stands at approximately ₹23.89 crore, with the India gross reaching ₹27.37 crore. Overseas, the film has added ₹4.15 crore in gross, taking its worldwide gross collection to ₹31.52 crore so far.

The film opened with ₹3.60 crore on its first day and maintained similar numbers on Friday with ₹3.50 crore. Collections picked up over the weekend, with ₹4.90 crore on Saturday and ₹5.25 crore on Sunday, marking the highest single-day figure so far. As expected, the numbers declined from Monday, with ₹2.40 crore on Day 5, followed by ₹2.15 crore on Tuesday and ₹2.09 crore on Wednesday.

Occupancy levels followed a similar trajectory. The film recorded around 35% occupancy on its opening day, which increased to over 50% during the weekend, peaking at 57% on Sunday. This later dropped to around 29% on Monday and settled at 24% by midweek, reflecting a typical post-weekend trend while maintaining a consistent presence.

Youth: Cast, Plot And Week 2 Box Office Outlook

Youth features a supporting cast including Anishma Anilkumar, Devadarshini, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Meenakshi Dinesh, Priyanshi Yadav, and Abison Thevarasa, among others. The film is produced by Karuppiah C. Ram and Sulochana Kumar, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.

The story centres on Praveen, a teenager navigating adolescence with the belief that he must experience love before finishing school. As he goes through a series of relationships and emotional setbacks, his understanding of love gradually evolves, shaping his outlook on life.

As the film moves into its second week, its box office performance will depend on how it holds through the weekdays, with the weekend expected to play a key role in sustaining its overall run.
