Sathyaraj has cut out his slapstick humour in this movie. This 170th movie of his will be a landmark in his career.

Bharath (Sathyaraj) and Vaishnavi (Roja) are living happily in America with their son Subash and their daughter Sindu. A storm blows in their life in the form of terrorism. Their daughter Sindu is killed in a bomb blast. Vaishnavi becomes sick with paranoia. So they come to Chennai to make their living.

The continuous bomb blasts in India make Bharath a hysteric patient. Jack (Rajendra) gives continuous torture in the form of threats to Vaishnavi. Jack who has network with terrorists blackmails Vaishnavi. The flashback reveals the reason why Jack threatens Vaishnavi.

Sathyaraj as a caring husband has done a good job. Roja after a long gap has given a notable performance. She has given a realistic touch to her role as a paranoia patient. Vadivelu tries to provoke laughter.

Director could have concentrated on the story more. He has tried to highlight the terrorism, and world peace on the screen but, he hasn't achieved it due to the unreal screenplay. The continuous bomb blast scenes create a weary sensation.

Rajendra has done a good job both as an actor and producer.

Kurukshetram , is the war between good and evil.
