Silambarsan's directorial venture Valavaan is shaping up well. This much awaited movie is scheduled for a Deepavali release. After Manmadhan, in which Simbu proved his mettle as a script-writer and direction supervisor, he is bearing the onus of story, screenplay and direction in Valavaan. But this huge load doesn't seem to be too much of a burden on this young man's shoulders, who is carrying out his duties as a director with ease!
Valavaan which was at first reported to be the sequel of the highly popular Manmadhan, has three heroines sharing screen space with Simbu - Nayantara, Reema Sen and Sandya. The popularity chart of Valavaan saw a steady inclination towards the higher side, with gossips rippling around Kollywood about the alleged affair between the lead pair, Simbu and Nayan.
Expectations for the movie have sky-rocketed since the music release of Valavaan. Yuvan Shankar Raja is at his best in Valavaan with cool numbers, and rocking tunes! Simbu has also come forward to voice the song 'Loosu Penne' which has consistently topped charts over the weeks, and is a huge hit with youngsters.
Simbu proved his prowess for candid narration of a story in Manmadhan. His greatest forte he confesses is the confidence and acceptance he received from the Tamil audience and youngsters during his debut venture Manmadhan. Now he knows just the right recipe that will satisfy the palate of his fans, and he has written and directed Valavaan with that in mind. Like the dual roles he donned in Manmadhan, this time Simbu takes up 4 roles in which he has shined! It is with great skill that he has enacted each of these four characters.
As the director of Valavaan Simbu says, Valavaan is a treat for the young at heart! The three heroines Nayantara, Reema Sen and Sandya have played their parts well. They were all quick-learners and very co-operative, which helped us ten-fold during the shooting!" It is also a known fact that Simbu had a dedicated day and night shooting routine.
Producer Thenappan says, "This movie will be a romantic entertainer with three top heroines in the lead. There won't be a drought of tantalizing and enticing scenes. This movie is basically focused on youth as it is a youthful story. The young audience will find that they can empathize with the lead roles. There will be unexpected twists in the story during some pivotal scenes."
Valavaan will surely mark a milestone in this evolving actor and director's career! Let's await Valavaan's grand entry during the festival of lights!
